SECURITY TECHNICIAN

The Role
We are looking for experienced Security Technicians who understand that quality installation goes beyond getting a system online.
This is not production work.
Technicians at Shel-Bar are expected to deliver clean, organized, and serviceable installations while understanding how systems function as a whole.

Core Responsibilities

Install, terminate, and test security system components

Read and interpret drawings and system designs

Commission and troubleshoot integrated systems

Maintain clean, organized installations

Complete required documentation (FLHA, daily logs, system notes)

Work independently or within a small, capable team
Travel

Up to 35% travel depending on project demands

Out-of-province travel required for select projects

Local and regional work within Alberta
-
Multi-day or multi-week project assignments may be required
Requirements

Proven experience in security system installation
-
Strong understanding of CCTV, access control, and basic networking

Ability to work independently and problem-solve in the field

Valid driver’s license
-
Willingness to travel as required
