The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Genetec Specialist who understands that a system is only as strong as its design, configuration, and long-term performance. This is not basic system programming. This role is for someone who can build, optimize, and support enterprise-level security platforms with precision, clarity, and ownership.

What You’ll Be Working With:

- Genetec Security Center
- Supporting technologies: Axis Communications, Mercury Security, Bosch, and other integrated systems

 

Core Responsibilities:

- Configure, commission, and maintain Genetec Security Center systems
- Design and implement system architecture aligned with project requirements
- Integrate video, access control, and related subsystems
- Troubleshoot complex system issues (software, network, hardware interaction)
- Support field technicians and electricians during installation and commissioning
- Optimize system performance, user experience, and long-term reliability
- Maintain accurate documentation including system layouts, configurations, and change logs
- Provide remote and on-site technical support as required

- Travel

- Project-dependent travel required
- Combination of remote work, office support, and field presence
- Occasional out-of-province work depending on client needs

 

Requirements:

- Proven experience working with Genetec Security Center
- Strong understanding of VMS, access control, and system integration
- Solid networking knowledge (IP addressing, VLANs, switching fundamentals)
- Ability to troubleshoot across software and hardware environments
- Experience supporting field teams and commissioning systems
- Clear documentation and communication skills
