Electrician (Journeyman to Master Level)

 

Shel-Bar Electronic Industries Ltd. is seeking experienced, highly capable Electricians to join our growing team.

 

This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for professionals who bring a depth of experience, strong technical awareness, and the ability to operate independently in complex industrial, commercial, and technology-driven environments.

 

Position Overview

 

Our Electricians are trusted field professionals responsible for executing electrical and integrated technology installations to the highest standard—safely, efficiently, and right the first time. This role requires a blend of electrical expertise, systems awareness, and strong field judgment.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting across industrial, commercial, and technology-based projects

  • Work with and around integrated systems including security, access control, communications, and related infrastructure

  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and site requirements with minimal supervision

  • Conduct systematic troubleshooting and problem-solving in the field

  • Complete daily documentation including digital reports, hazard assessments, and project updates

  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship, organization, and site professionalism

  • Work independently or lead small teams depending on project scope

  • Ensure compliance with all company, client, and regulatory safety requirements

 

Qualifications & Experience

​

  • Journeyman Electrician certification (Master Electrician considered an asset)

  • Diverse background across industrial, commercial, and/or technology-integrated environments

  • Experience or working knowledge of security systems, access control, fire alarm interface, or elevator-related systems is a strong asset

  • Proven ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capability

  • Demonstrated leadership in field environments (formal or informal)Technical & Professional Requirements

  • Comfortable using digital tools including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and cloud-based systems

  • Ability to complete daily journaling, reporting, and digital safety documentation (FLHAs, inspections, etc.)

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract

  • Willingness and ability to travel as required
