Position Overview
​
Our Electricians are responsible for executing electrical installations, maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
​
The role requires a blend of electrical expertise, systems awareness, leadership, and strong field judgment.
​
Key Responsibilities
​

Perform electrical installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs

Work with and around integrated systems including security, access control, communications, networking infrastructure, and related technologies

Read and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and project requirements

Conduct systematic troubleshooting and problem-solving in the field
-
Complete daily documentation including digital reports, hazard assessments, project updates, and work records
-
Maintain a high standard of workmanship, organization, and site professionalism

Work independently or lead small teams depending on project requirements

Coordinate effectively with project managers, technicians, clients, and other trades
-
Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and regulatory standards

Qualifications & Experience
​
-
Journeyman Electrician Certification
-
Master Electrician designation considered an asset
-
Experience within industrial, commercial, institutional, or technology-integrated environments
-
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
-
Proven ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
-
Demonstrated leadership experience, whether formal or informal
-
Experience with security systems, access control, communications infrastructure, networking, fire alarm interfaces, or elevator-related systems is considered an asset
Technical & Professional Requirements

Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, laptops, and cloud-based systems

Ability to complete digital safety documentation, inspections, project reports, and daily journals

Strong communication and organizational skills

Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record

Willingness to travel as project requirements dictate

Travel

Local and regional work throughout Alberta
-
Out-of-province travel may be required for select projects
-
Multi-day and multi-week assignments may occur depending on project requirements
Safety & Work Readiness

Electricians are expected to:

Complete Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs) prior to commencing work

Follow all company safety procedures and client site requirements

Utilize appropriate PPE and fall protection systems where required

Work safely in elevated, industrial, construction, and occupied environments
-
Report hazards, incidents, and near misses promptly
-
Participate in ongoing safety training and continuous improvement initiatives
Candidates must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the role, including:

Lifting, carrying, and handling materials and equipment

Performing physically demanding field work in varying environmental conditions
